The Front Porch on a Hot Afternoon
This is the beautiful slate we bought and have moved various times. It is now set in sand as our front porch but can be taken out and used as something else if the mood strikes. It's a great spot to watch the birds and butterflies but is just too hot right now. We're looking forward to watching thunderstorms from this vantage point.

Wow, Judy! I love the slate porch floor. We're still debating about what to do to ours, but I think the snow and ice of our lovely land would make the slate quite slippery. sigh. It is gorgeous though!
Now, if I sat on your porch on the 4th of July instead of sweltering in a dumpy campground in Flagstaff, I know my recent AZ experience would've been much, much nicer!
It's great to see that there are more and more people building appropriate housing structures for desert living. Please tell me where on your blog I can learn more about how you got started.
Keep up the fabulous work!
